Program Update:
In accordance with Senate Bill 1, 85th Regular Legislative Session, 2017, (General Appropriations Act) Article III, page 238, rider 10 funds have been appropriated to Extension for the Surplus Agriculture Products Grant Program serving low income students and their families. Geographic service areas to be proposed include the following counties: Harris, Brazoria, Travis & Dallas. Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service (Extension) requests applications for projects that provide fruit and vegetable distribution to limited resource students and families and provides educational activities to increase consumption and use of produce.
