GO TEXAN Restaurant Round-Up Offers Food, Drinks For a Good Cause Across Texas (7/18/2016)

Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller is encouraging all Texans to dine out during the month of July and help feed needy Texans. By participating in the Texas Department of Agriculture’s ninth annual GO TEXAN® Restaurant Round-Up, Texans can show their support for Texas farmers and ranchers, enjoy the finest locally-produced food and beverages, and do their part to feed hungry Texans. During the month-long event, participating GO TEXAN® restaurants are hosting local events to showcase meat, dairy and produce grown on Texas farms and ranches, as well as wines, beer and spirits from Texas producers. The restaurants will give back to their communities by contributing to local food banks.

“The GO TEXAN® Restaurant Round-Up brings together the best of Texas food and drinks, and it’s all for a good cause,” Commissioner Miller said. “I encourage you to go out and enjoy a delicious Texas meal, give back to our economy, support our incredible chefs, farmers and ranchers, and help your fellow Texans during the entire month of July.”
