Deadline Extensions - Information

BLANKET EXTENSIONS

A Cotton Producer Advisory Committee may request a blanket extension of the destruction deadline for all or part of a cotton stalk destruction zone (Pest Management Zone) if widespread adverse conditions prevent completion of stalk destruction.

INDIVIDUAL EXTENSIONS

A producer in any cotton stalk destruction zone may apply for an individual extension of the destruction deadline. If practical, PLEASE USE THE NEW ONLINE APPLICATION FORM. Producers who use the online alternative will receive immediate email confirmation that TDA has received their request and will significantly reduce the processing time for a request. In addition TDA will send each applicant written notification of whether their request has been approved. For more information, call 512-463-7660.

NEW! Online Extension Request Form (Form RCD-901E):

to use the NEW ONLINE APPLICATION FORM (RCD-901E) to request an individual extension of the cotton stalk destruction deadline. As soon as you submit an online request, you will receive email confirmation from TDA that your request has been received.

Traditional “Paper” Forms (Form RCD-901 & Form RCD-901A): IF YOU USE A NEW ONLINE APPLICATION FORM, DO NOT FILE A TRADITIONAL PAPER FORM.

IF FILING A TRADITIONAL PAPER APPLICATION FORM, please email your extension requests (as attachments) to Cotton@TexasAgriculture.gov

Otherwise, fax your extension requests to 1-888-215-5208.

If neither of the preceding is practical, mail your extension requests to:

Please note that failure to provide all required information can result in delay or denial of your extension request.

NOTE: Do not send extension requests to your TDA Regional Office. All extension requests are handled through the Austin TDA office.
