Slaughter Cattle:  

As of 3:00 PM Monday, negotiated cash trade has been inactive in all major feeding regions. Not enough trade for an adequate market trend. Last week in the Southern Plains, live purchases traded at 124.00. In Nebraska last week, live purchases traded from 126.000-128.00, with dressed trades at 205.00. In Colorado last week, live purchases sold from 127.00-127.50. In the Western Cornbelt last week, live purchases traded from 127.00-130.00, with dressed trades from 204.00-206.

Alberta Beef Producers Daily Report:

Alberta direct cattle sales last week saw light trade develop weighted average steer and heifer prices closing the week at 160.00 and 159.00 respectively. Prices are 1.00 lower than last week. All reported cash sales traded locally. Looking at the non-fed market butcher cows traded steady to 2.00 higher through commercial auction facilities last week.  Butcher cow and bull prices are trading 3.00-5.00 lower than last year while fed cattle prices are 5.00 than a year ago.

Boxed Beef: 

Boxed beef cutout values steady on Select and sharply higher on Choice on moderate to good demand and moderate offerings. Select and Choice rib, round, and loin cuts steady to firm. Select chuck cut weak while Choice higher. Beef trimmings unevenly steady on moderate demand and offerings.
