Slaughter Cattle:
As of 3:00 PM Monday, negotiated cash trade was mostly inactive on light demand in all feeding regions. Not enough purchases in any region for an adequate market test. The latest established market in any feeding region was last week with live purchases in the Southern Plains at 116.00. In Nebraska last week, live purchases traded from 115.00-117.50 with dressed purchases at 184.00. In the Western Cornbelt for the previous week, live purchases traded from 115.00-117.00, bulk at 116.00 with dressed purchases at 184.00.

Alberta Beef Producers Daily Report: Alberta CA
Alberta direct cattle sales last week saw light trade develop with weighted average steer and heifer prices closing just under 150.00. Prices were steady to to 3.00 higher than the previous week. Fed cattle prices are now trading at the highest point since May. Both local and US packer interest was supportive last week. Looking at the non-fed market butcher cows traded steady to slightly lower through commercial auction facilities last week. New annual price lows were established last week. Feeder cow and speculative buyers have been very active on the non-fed market. Butcher cow prices traditionally bottom in November.

Boxed Beef:
Boxed beef cutout values firm on moderate demand and moderate offerings. Select and Choice rib and loin cuts steady. Choice chuck cuts higher while Select steady. Choice round cuts lower while Select steady. Beef trimmings sharply lower on light demand and heavy offerings.
