Slaughter Cattle:
As of 3:00 PM Monday, negotiated cash trade was mostly inactive on light to moderate demand in all feeding regions. Not enough purchases in any feeding region for an adequate market test. The latest established market in any feeding region was last week with live purchases in Kansas at 119.00. Last week in Nebraska, live purchases traded from 118.00-119.00 with dressed purchases at
188.00. Last week in the Western Cornbelt, live purchases traded from 118.00-120.00 with dressed purchases from 188.00-190.00, bulk at 188.00.

Alberta Beef Producers Daily Report: Alberta CA
Alberta direct cattle sales Last week with weighted average steer and heifer prices closing the week from 153.00-154.00. Prices are 3.00 higher than the previous week. Fed cattle prices are now trading 3.00 higher than last year, this is the first time since August fed prices have been above last year. Looking at the non-fed market, butcher cows traded 1.00 higher through commercial auction facilities last week. Annual lows are likely in our rear-view mirror.
