Slaughter Cattle:

As of 3:00 PM Tuesday, negotiated cash trading in the Southern Plains and Western Cornbelt has been limited on light demand. In the Texas Panhandle a few live purchases moved at 95.00. In Kansas a few live purchases moved from 95.00 to 97.50. In the Western Cornbelt a few dressed purchases moved at 161.00. Not enough purchases in any of these regions for a full market trend. So far for Tuesday in the Northern Plains negotiated cash trading has been at a standstill. Last week in the Southern Plains live purchases moved at 96.00. For the prior week in the Northern Plains live purchases moved at 98.00 and dressed purchases moved at 158.00. For the previous week in the Western Cornbelt live purchases moved from 99.00 to 100.00 and dressed purchases moved at 158.00.
