Slaughter Cattle:

As of 3:00 PM Thursday in the Texas Panhandle, Nebraska and Western Cornbelt negotiated cash trading has been slow on light demand. In the Texas Panhandle, compared to last week, early live purchases traded 1.00-2.00 higher at 123.00. In Nebraska a few live and dressed purchases traded at 128.00 and 202.00, respectively. In the Western Cornbelt a few live and dressed purchases traded at 128.00 and from 202.00-206.50, respectively. However, not enough purchases for a full market trend in these regions. In Nebraska for the prior week live and dressed purchases traded from 125.00-127.00 and at 200.00, respectively. In the Western Cornbelt for the previous week live and dressed purchases traded at 127.00 and from 200.00-205.00, respectively. So far for Thursday in Kansas negotiated cash trading has been mostly inactive on light demand. Not enough purchases for a market trend. Last week live purchases traded at 122.00.
