Slaughter Cattle:

As of 3:00 PM Wednesday in Nebraska and Western Cornbelt, negotiated cash trading and demand has been moderate. In Nebraska, compared to last week, live purchases traded 3.00-4.00 higher at 140.00 and dressed purchases traded 4.00 higher at 222.00. In the Western Cornbelt, compared to the prior week, live purchases traded 3.00 higher from 140.00-141.00 and dressed purchases traded 4.00 higher at 222.00. Thus far for Wednesday in the Southern Plains negotiated cash trading has been mostly inactive on light demand. Not enough purchases for a market trend. Last week in the Texas Panhandle live purchases traded at 137.00. In Kansas live purchases traded at 136.00.
