Slaughter Cattle:

As of 3:00 PM Wednesday in Nebraska, negotiated cash trading and demand have been moderate. Live purchases traded steady at 138.00, when compared to the last reported market on Tuesday. Dressed purchases, compared to last week, traded 4.00-5.00 lower at 220.00. In Kansas and Western Cornbelt negotiated cash trading has been limited with light demand. In Kansas live purchases traded steady at 138.00, when compared to the last reported market on Tuesday. In the Western Cornbelt not enough purchases for a full market trend. For the prior week live purchases traded at 142.00 and from 224.00-225.00, respectively. Thus far for Wednesday in the Texas Panhandle negotiated cash trading has been mostly inactive with very light demand. Not enough purchases for a market trend. Tuesday was the last reported market with live purchases at 138.00.
