Slaughter Cattle: 

As of 3:00 PM Tuesday negotiated cash trading has been at a standstill in Kansas. In the Texas Panhandle, Nebraska and the Western Cornbelt negotiated cash trading was inactive on very light demand. Not enough trades for a market trend. Last week in the Southern Plains live cash trades moved mostly at 109.00. For the prior week in Nebraska live cash trades moved from 111.00-111.50 and dressed cash trades moved from 178.00-180.00. For the previous week in the Western Cornbelt live cash trades moved from 111.00-112.00 and dressed cash trades moved from 178.00-180.00.

Alberta Beef Producers Daily Report: Alberta CA

Alberta direct cattle sales last week saw light trade develop with weighted average steer and heifer prices closing the week at 143.00 and 140.75 respectively. Prices are 4.00 lower than the previous week. All reported cash sales traded locally. Looking at the non-fed market butcher cow prices traded fully steady through commercial auction facilities last week. Butcher cow and fed cattle prices are trading lower than last year.
