Slaughter Cattle:
As of 3:00 PM Thursday in Nebraska and Western Cornbelt, negotiated cash trading and demand have been moderate. In Nebraska, when compared to last week, dressed purchases moved 2.00 to 3.00 higher at 163.00. Not enough live purchases for a market trend. Wednesday was the last reported live purchase market at 103.00, on a light test. In the Western Cornbelt, when compared to the prior week, live purchases moved 2.00 to 4.00 higher mostly from 104.00 to 105.00. Not enough dressed purchases for a market trend. The last reported dressed purchase market was on Wednesday mostly at 162.00. So far for Thursday in Kansas negotiated cash trading has been limited on light to moderate demand. Live purchases moved steady at 103.00, with a few up to 105.00. In the Texas Panhandle negotiated cash trading has been at a standstill. Wednesday was the last reported live purchase market from 103.00 to 103.50.
