As of 3:00 PM Thursday, negotiated cash trading in the Southern Plains has been at standstill. In Nebraska and the Western Cornbelt negotiated cash trading has been limited on very light demand. Not enough trades for a full market trend. Last week in the Southern Plains live cash trades moved at 111.00. For the prior week in Nebraska live and dressed cash trades moved mostly at 114.00 and 185.00, respectively. For the previous week in the Western Cornbelt live and dressed cash trades moved mostly from 115.00-116.00 and at 185.00, respectively.

Alberta direct cattle sales Wednesday saw no new trade to report. Dressed bids have been reported from 243.00-245.00 delivered. Bids are 2.00-3.00 lower than the previous week. Buying interest has been noted from 2 out of the 3 western Canadian packers. Many producers are looking for at least steady money with last week. Sale volumes will be light if bids do not improve.
