Alberta Beef Producers Daily Report: Alberta CA
Alberta direct cattle sales Wednesday saw no new trade to report. Dressed bids have been reported at 252.00 delivered, bids are 1.00-2.00 higher than previous week. US packer interest has been noted, depending on freight and dressing percentage US bids are working back to the mid 150's on a live basis. Last week packers were buying cattle for the week of December 16th delivery and this week could be buying cattle for the week of December 23rd delivery. With trucks tough to find and limited manpower over the holidays producers will be looking for more money for the extra hassle of delivering cattle over the holidays.
