Slaughter Cattle:
As of 3:00 PM Friday, negotiated cash trade and demand was moderate in Nebraska and the Western Cornbelt. Compared to last week in Nebraska, dressed purchases traded mostly 3.00 higher at 195.00, with a few up to 196.00. A few live purchases have traded from 120.00-122.00, however not enough for an adequate market test. Last week in Nebraska, live purchases traded from 120.00-121.00. In the Western Cornbelt early purchases have ranged from 122.00-123.00 and from 195.00-196.00, however not enough for an adequate market test. Last week in the Western Cornbelt, live purchases traded from 120.00-121.00 with dressed purchases at 192.00. Trade was mostly inactive on light demand in Kansas. The latest established market in Kansas was last week with live purchases at 120.00.
