Slaughter Cattle:

As of 3:00 PM Tuesday, negotiated cash trade and demand was light to moderate in Nebraska. Compared to the light test last week in Nebraska, live purchases ranged steady 94.00-105.00, however a sharply lower undertone was noted with the bulk of at 95.00. Compared to Monday dressed purchases traded steady at 150.00. In the Western Cornbelt trade was light on light to moderate demand. Compared to last week’s light test, dressed purchases have traded steady to 18.00 lower from 149.00-150.00, bulk at 150.00. A few live purchases have been noted from 94.00-95.00, however not enough for an adequate market test. Last week in the Western Cornbelt live purchases traded from 95.00-105.00. Trade was mostly inactive on light demand in the Southern Plains. The latest established market in the Texas Panhandle was on Monday with early live purchases mostly at 100.00.  The latest established market in Kansas was last week at 105.00 on a light test.
