Slaughter Cattle:

As of 3:00 PM Thursday, negotiated cash trade was light on light to moderate demand in Kansas, Nebraska and the Western Cornbelt. Compared to the bulk of last week in Kansas, live purchases traded 5.00 lower at 100.00. Compared to the bulk of trade Wednesday in Nebraska and the Western Cornbelt, dressed purchases traded 10.00 higher ranging from 148.00-160.00, bulk at 160.00. A few live purchases were reported in both regions mostly at 100.00, however not enough for an adequate market test. The latest established live market in both regions was on Wednesday mostly at 95.00. Trade was very limited on light demand in the Texas Panhandle on Thursday, however not enough for an adequate market test. The latest established market in the Texas Panhandle was on Tuesday with live purchases at 100.00.
