Slaughter Cattle:

As of 3:00 PM Thursday in the Southern Plains, negotiated cash trading has been inactive on light demand. Not enough purchases for a market trend. The last reported market was on Wednesday with live purchases mostly at 100.00. So far Thursday in Nebraska and Western Cornbelt negotiated cash trading has been limited on light to moderate demand. In Nebraska a few dressed purchases moved at 163.00. In the Western Cornbelt a few live and dressed purchases moved at 103.00 and 163.00. However, not enough purchases in either region for a full market trend. Last week in Nebraska live and dressed purchases moved at 100.00 and 160.00, respectively. In the Western Cornbelt the last reported market was on Wednesday with live and dressed purchases at 103.00 and 162.00, respectively. Thus far for Thursday in Colorado negotiated cash trading has been at a standstill. Last week live purchases moved from 98.00 to 100.00.
