Slaughter Cattle:

As of 3:00 PM Thursday in Nebraska and Western Cornbelt, negotiated cash trading and demand have been moderate. In Nebraska, when compared to last week, dressed purchases moved unevenly steady mostly at 169.00, with a few up to 174.00. Not enough live purchases for a market trend. Last week live purchases moved from 106.00 to 106.50. In the Western Cornbelt live purchases, when compared to Wednesday, moved steady to 3.00 higher from 107.00 to 109.00, with a few up to 110.00. Dressed purchases, when compared to last week, moved unevenly steady at 169.00, with a few up to 170.00. So far for Thursday in the Southern Plains and Colorado negotiated cash trading has been inactive on light demand. Not enough purchases for a market trend. In the Southern Plains the last reported market was on Wednesday with live at 106.00. Last week was the most recent market in Colorado with live purchases from 106.00 to 106.50.
