Slaughter Cattle:

As of 3:00 PM Friday, negotiated cash trading has been limited with light demand in the Southern Plains. A few live purchases traded at 142.00, however, not enough for a full market trend. Thursday was the last reported market in the Southern Plains with the Texas Panhandle live purchases at 142.00 and in Kansas live purchases ranged from 141.00-142.00. Thus far for Friday in Nebraska and Western Cornbelt negotiated cash trading has been mostly inactive on light demand. Not enough purchases in either region for a market trend. In Nebraska on Wednesday saw with live and dressed purchases at 144.00 and 227.00, respectively. In the Western Cornbelt on Thursday live purchases ranged from 144.00-145.00 and on Wednesday dressed purchases traded from 226.00-227.00.
