Slaughter Cattle:

As of 3:00 PM Wednesday, negotiated cash trading and demand have been moderate in the Texas Panhandle and Northern Plains. Tuesday was the last reported live purchase market in these regions. In the Texas Panhandle live purchases traded steady at 136.00. In Nebraska live purchases traded 1.00-2.00 higher from 142.00-143.00. Compared to last week dressed purchases traded 3.00-4.00 higher from 225.00-226.00, with a few up to 228.00. In Colorado live purchases traded steady at 141.00. So far for Wednesday in the Western Cornbelt negotiated cash trading has been limited with moderate demand. Thus far for the week live purchases have traded steady to 2.00 higher from 141.00-142.00. Not enough dressed purchases for a full market trend. Last week dressed purchases traded at 222.00. In Kansas negotiated cash trading has been mostly inactive on light demand. Not enough live purchases for a market trend. Last week live purchases traded at 135.00.
