Slaughter Cattle:

As of 3:00 PM Thursday in the Southern Plains and Nebraska, negotiated cash trading and demand have been moderate. In the Texas Panhandle, compared to last week, live purchases traded steady at 141.00. In Kansas, compared to last week, live purchases traded steady to 1.00 higher at 141.00. In Nebraska, compared to the prior week, live purchases traded 1.00 lower from 142.00-144.00 and dressed purchases ranged from 226.00-229.00, mostly 2.00-4.00 lower at 226.00. In the Western Cornbelt negotiated cash trading has been slow with light to moderate demand. A few live purchases traded at 143.00. However, not enough live or dressed purchases for a full market trend. For the previous week live and dressed purchases traded from 143.00-145.00 and from 228.00-232.00, respectively.
