Slaughter Cattle:

As of 3:00 PM, Thursday in the Southern Plains negotiated cash trading was moderate on light to moderate demand. Compared to last week live purchases traded 3.00 higher at 148.00. In Nebraska negotiated cash trading and demand were moderate. Compared to last week live purchases ranged from 150.00-152.00, with the bulk 4.00 higher at 152.00, and dressed purchases traded 4.00 higher at 236.00. In the Western Cornbelt negotiated cash trading was slow with light demand. A few live purchases traded at 150.00 and a few dressed purchases traded at 236.00. Not enough live or dressed purchases for a full market trend. Wednesday was the reported live purchase market at 150.00 and last week dressed purchases traded from 230.00-232.00.
