Texas Daily Ag Market News Summary

Fed Cattle:  As of 3:00 PM Thursday in the Southern Plains, negotiated cash trade has been active with very good demand. In the Texas Panhandle, compared to last week, live purchases traded live purchases traded 5.00-9.00 higher from 175.00-180.00. In Kansas, compared to the previous week, live purchases traded mostly 7.00-9.00 higher from 178.00-180.00. In Nebraska and Western Cornbelt negotiated cash trading has been moderate with very good demand. In Nebraska, compared to the prior week, live purchases traded 3.00-6.00 higher from 183.00-188.00 and dressed purchases traded 5.00-6.00 higher from 285.00-292.00. In the Western Cornbelt, compared to last week, live purchases traded 3.00-5.00 higher from 185.00-187.00. A few dressed purchases traded at 288.00, however, not enough for a full market trend. Last week dressed purchases traded at 285.00.
