TEXAS AGRICULTURE COMMISSIONER SID MILLER AND USDA TO DEPLOY SWORMLURE-5 IN AGGRESSIVE EFFORT TO STOP SCREWWORM CRISIS
Today, Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller announced a bold step forward in the battle against the reemergence of the New World Screwworm (NWS) near the United States. Working closely with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) is spearheading efforts to reintroduce an improved pest control method to our international Screwworm response: Swormlure Bait.  [More]

COMMISSIONER MILLER ANNOUNCES ANOTHER STRONG PESTICIDE DISPOSAL EVENT
Today, Commissioner Sid Miller proudly announced that the Grimes County pesticide waste removal event, hosted by the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Navasota, Texas, collected an estimated 75,000 pounds of unwanted pesticides from more than 100 participating producers. This was another in a series of free public events that provide agricultural producers across the state with a safe and convenient way to dispose of unwanted pesticides and recycle pesticide containers.  [More]

Trump, acting Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator David Richardson, and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Brooke Rollins for their prompt and ongoing support of Texas following the recent disaster.
