Alberta direct cattle sales Tuesday saw no new trade to report but, trade could start to develop today. Packers continue to slaughter fed cattle at a higher rate than a year ago which has supported the local market. Last week’s cash to futures basis was slightly positive and technical price levels are fully steady with last week.
