Slaughter Cattle:

As of 3:00 PM Wednesday, negotiated cash trading has been slow on moderate demand in Kansas and Nebraska. In Kansas live purchases traded steady at 114.00, when compared to last week. In Nebraska a few live purchases traded steady to 1.00 higher at 114.00, when compared to the prior week. Not enough dressed purchases for a market trend in Nebraska. Last week dressed traded at 180.00. Thus far for Wednesday in Colorado and Western Cornbelt negotiated cash trading has been limited on light demand. In the Texas Panhandle negotiated cash trading has been mostly inactive on very light demand. Not enough purchases in these regions for a full market trend. Last week in the Texas Panhandle and Colorado live purchases traded at 114.00. In the Western Cornbelt live and dressed purchases traded from 112.00-113.00 and 178.00-180.00, respectively.
