Slaughter Cattle:

As of 3:00 PM Thursday in Nebraska, negotiated cash trading has been slow on light demand. A few early dressed purchases traded 2.00 higher at 182.00, when compared to last week. Not enough live purchases for a market trend. Wednesday was the last live purchase market at 114.00. So far for Thursday in the Southern Plains, Colorado and Western Cornbelt negotiated cash trading has been limited on light demand. Not enough purchases in these regions for a market trend. Wednesday was the last reported live market in Kansas, Colorado and Western Cornbelt. In Kansas and Colorado live purchases traded at 114.00. In the Western Cornbelt live purchases traded from 114.00-115.00 and, last week, dressed purchases traded from 178.00-180.00. Thus far for Thursday in the Texas Panhandle negotiated cash trading has been at a standstill. Last week live purchases traded at 114.00.
