Slaughter Cattle:

As of 3:00 PM Wednesday, negotiated cash trading in the Southern Plains has been limited on light demand. A few live purchases in the Texas Panhandle traded from 119.00-120.00. In Kansas a few live purchases traded at 120.00. Thus far for Wednesday in Nebraska and Western Cornbelt negotiated cash trading has been slow with moderate demand. In Nebraska a live and dressed purchases traded at 120.00 and from 190.00-191.00, respectively. In the Western Cornbelt a few live and dressed purchases traded at 120.00 and from 190.00-191.00, respectively. However, not enough purchases in any of these regions for a full market trend. Last week in the Texas Panhandle live purchases traded mostly at 120.00. In Kansas for the prior week live purchases traded from 119.00-120.00. For previous week in Nebraska live and dressed purchases traded at 120.00 and 191.00, respectively. Last week in the Western Cornbelt live and dressed purchases traded at 120.00 and from 189.00-191.00, respectively.
