Commissioner Miller Praises EPA, US Army Action on Waters of the United States
For too long, DC regulators rolled out fuzzy rules that left folks unsure whether a puddle meant they needed a federal permit or not. That bureaucratic overreach has cost producers time and money. I’m proud to say that shortsightedness has ended under President Trump. I have fought for this type of commonsense solution for years. It’s high time we clarify what constitutes navigable waters and connected wetlands and do it in a way that doesn’t penalize the folks who keep food on our nation’s tables.  [More]

Commissioner Miller Statement on USDA Trade Mission to Mexico and Opening of Tampico Sterile Fly Facility
I commend USDA Secretary Rollins for the opening of the sterile fly dispersal facility in Tampico, Mexico, and for leading a highly successful trade mission that delivered historic results for both the United States and Mexico. Texas and U.S. producers depend on Mexico as a top export market for corn, soybeans, beef, dairy, and specialty crops, and this mission helped open new to U.S. commodities and cutting-edge agriculture technology. Dozens of businesses were able to meet directly with Mexican buyers, co-ops, and distributors, and these relationships will pay historic dividends to American agriculture for years.  [More]
