National Pesticide Information Center A cooperative effort of Oregon State University and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency provides pesticide information to any caller in the United States, Puerto Rico, or the Virgin Islands. NPIC provides objective, science-based information about a wide variety of pesticide-related subjects, including: pesticide products; recognition and management of pesticide poisoning; toxicology and environmental chemistry. NPIC operates 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Pacific time, Monday-Friday. Pesticide Specialists will respond to voice-mail and email messages, typically within one business day. The Pesticide Action Network Pesticide Database brings together a diverse array of information on pesticides from many different sources, providing human toxicity (chronic and acute), ecotoxicity and regulatory information for about 5,100 pesticide active ingredients and their transformation products, as well as adjuvants and solvents used in pesticide products.
