Slaughter Cattle:

As of 3:00 PM Friday, negotiated cash trading has been mostly inactive on light demand in Nebraska and the Western Cornbelt. Not enough purchases in either region for a market trend. Negotiated cash trading has been at a standstill in all other major feeding regions. The last reported market in Kansas was on Tuesday with live purchases at 138.00. On Wednesday in the Texas Panhandle live purchases traded at 136.00. In Nebraska on Wednesday, dressed purchases traded at 218.00. The last reported live market in Nebraska was last week from 138.00-140.00. The last reported market in Colorado was last week with live purchases at 140.00. Last week in the Western Cornbelt live and dressed purchases traded from 138.00-140.00 and from 218.00-220.00, respectively.
