Commissioner Miller Urges Texans to Practice Food Safety on Super Bowl Sunday
As millions of Texans gather with friends and family to watch this year’s Super Bowl, many will enjoy snacks, delivery, or takeout served throughout the game. To help keep those celebrations safe, Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller is reminding Texans to follow simple, common-sense food safety practices to prevent foodborne illness on game day.  [More]

Commissioner Miller Praises Trump Policies for Lower Chicken Wing Prices This Super Bowl Sunday
In Texas, game day, backyard tailgates, and family gatherings are as much a part of our culture as the Lone Star itself. Grocery affordability is an ongoing crisis thanks to the Biden Administration’s economic policies. So it’s welcome news that chicken wing prices are down compared to last year, just in time for Super Bowl Sunday.  [More]

Commissioner Miller Hails FDA's Emergency Order for OTC Injectable to Battle New World Screwworm
"FDA's Emergency Use Authorization for an over-the-counter injectable to prevent New World screwworm is a vital win for Texas agriculture. It arms ranchers with direct access to essential tools, empowering those on the front lines—especially in our high-risk border zones—to defend their herds daily."  [More]

Commissioner Sid Miller Unveils Bold “America First” Beef Policy to Rebuild U.S. Cattle Herd
“While we are still trying to recover from a $37 billion Biden era agriculture trade deficit, we don’t need more foreign beef imports making it worse—we need more American beef,” Miller said. “The next Farm Bill must stand firm with American ranchers. As President Trump’s most consistent ally in agriculture, I’m proud to lead that fight. When we put American ranchers first, we put America first.”  [More]

Commissioner Miller Hails Attorney General Paxton's Lawsuit to Crush CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood
Texas is planting its boots firm and declaring war; we're finished coddling these vile radicals who twist our sacred freedoms to gut our nation from the inside out. My battle-hardened ally against radical Islam, Attorney General Ken Paxton, is spot-on to hammer the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR with unrelenting legal firepower. We will not stand idly by while these wolves in sheep's clothing masquerade as civil rights champions to shove their anti-American venom down our throats.  [More]

Commissioner Sid Miller Applauds Trump Administration's Enforcement of 1944 Water Treaty Agreement
This enforcement is a hard-fought triumph for Rio Grande Valley growers, who've endured years of betrayal and erratic supplies. In South Texas, water isn't optional—it's the lifeline of our ag industry, rural jobs, and economy. We can't let up now. South Texas farmers demand ongoing vigilance, justice, and the water promised decades ago.  [More]

Commissioner Sid Miller Hails Win for Farmers' Right to Repair
This EPA clarification is a hard-fought victory for Texas farmers and ranchers nationwide. By clarifying that the Clean Air Act backs, not blocks, the right to self-repair farm equipment, the agency has smashed a massive barrier that has crippled our producers for too long. I've battled for Right to Repair for years, as bogus restrictions shackled farmers to pricey, manufacturer-monopolized fixes. This guidance makes it crystal clear: no more exclusive dealer mandates. The law won't stand in the way of faster, less expensive repairs.  [More]

Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller Demands Country-of-Origin Labeling for Meat Products
With foreign imports and Bill Gates-backed lab-grown meat surging, Americans deserve transparency: Know exactly where your beef comes from, right down to the U.S. state it was raised in. Support our ranchers, not overseas profits. This federal rule is essential to rebuild public trust and make 'Made in USA' mean something real. We've slammed shut the loophole letting foreign beef masquerade as American, now let's finish the job. Label every cut as the law demands, so families can trust their plates. This is America First in bold action.  [More]

Commissioner Sid Miller Calls for Urgent Action to Bolster American-Owned Meatpacking
Foreign meatpacking giants are crushing America’s ranchers and consumers under their boots. These foreign corporations dominate U.S. beef processing, manipulating prices, stifling competition, and robbing hardworking ranchers of their rightful earnings. This isn’t a free market; it’s an outright racket. American meatpackers, both large and small, have been forced to shutter operations, with hundreds of other smaller packers all but disappearing.  [More]

Commissioner Miller Responds to the USDA Report of New World Screwworm Case in Florida
I want to set the record straight on the recent New World screwworm detection in Florida. This detection did not constitute evidence of a U.S. outbreak or a domestic New World screwworm infestation. It was thankfully caught during a routine inspection of an imported horse arriving from a country south of the Darién Gap. The detection demonstrates that our federal inspection system is working exactly as designed and is an additional biosecurity tool that will protect our livestock industry. To date, there remains no evidence of New World screwworm populations or local infestation anywhere in the United States.  [More]
