STATEMENT FROM TEXAS AGRICULTURE COMMISSIONER SID MILLER PRAISING SECRETARY BROOKE ROLLINS ON USDA’S SMALL FAMILY FARMS POLICY AGENDA
For the Trump Administration, ‘Farmers First’ isn’t just a slogan; it’s a deep commitment to strengthening and promoting rural life in America. Nearly 90% of Texas farms are family-run, and they make enormous contributions that keep America and the world fed, clothed, and free.  [More]

STATEMENT BY TEXAS AGRICULTURE COMMISSIONER SID MILLER ASSURING FARMERS HEMP PRODUCTION WILL CONTINUE UNDER SB 3

This program closely aligns with the goals of Texas FFA and follows a successful and popular model used in other states.   [More]

I was skeptical of the Biden Administration's approach, but this collaborative effort led by Secretary Brooke Rollins at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), coupled with strong leadership from Texas Congressional members, will expand North American sterile fly production, marking a crucial step forward.  [More]

STATEMENT BY COMMISSIONER SID MILLER ON TEXAS LEGISLATURE'S HISTORIC WATER INVESTMENT
This represents the practical, on-the-ground legislation needed to protect our most precious resource—water. For years, Texas farmers, ranchers, and rural communities have grappled with increasing water scarcity, and I am pleased these bills expand the Texas Water Fund while increasing accountability.  [More]
