I commend USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins for her steadfast commitment to advocating for a federal solution to the purchase of rural land by our nation’s foreign enemies, including Communist China. This has been a crisis I have long fought against, and not just in Texas. According to the USDA, bird flu-related depopulation has resulted in the loss of over 150 million birds since 2022, including more than 123 million laying hens.
