Slaughter Cattle:

As of 3:00 PM Wednesday in Nebraska and Western Cornbelt, negotiated cash trading has been slow with moderate demand. In Nebraska live purchases, when compared the last live market on Tuesday, traded unevenly steady from 125.00-128.00. Dressed purchases, compared to last week, traded mostly 2.00 higher at 200.00, with a few up to 205.00. In the Western Cornbelt live purchases, when compared to the last live market on Tuesday, traded steady at 127.00. A few dressed purchases traded at 200.00. However, not enough dressed purchases for a market trend. Last week dressed purchases traded 198.00-204.00. So far for Wednesday in the Texas Panhandle negotiated cash trading has been slow with light demand. A few live purchases traded from 121.00-122.00. In Kansas negotiated cash trading has been mostly inactive. Not enough purchases in either region for a full market trend. Last week live purchases traded at 121.00.
