Commissioner Miller Applauds Texas AG Ken Paxton's Xcel Energy Lawsuit
Tuesday, December 16, 2025, I applaud my friend, Attorney General Ken Paxton, for standing up for Texas farmers and ranchers in the Panhandle. The devastation caused by the Smokehouse Creek Fire was heartbreaking to witness and completely unacceptable. If negligence is proven, Xcel Energy should shoulder the blame and the economic cost. Texas families lost livestock, land, livelihoods, and generations of heritage that can never be replaced.  [More]

Opinion: What a Difference an Administration Makes
Monday, December 15, 2025, If you want proof that one person really can make a difference, you do not need to look any further than the fields, ranches, and backroads of the Lone Star State. In Texas agriculture, Washington’s decisions are not abstract. We feel them in our soil, in our water, and in the livelihoods of every farmer, rancher, and landowner who calls Texas home. And let me tell you: thanks to Donald Trump, we feel the difference an administration makes.  [More]

Commissioner Miller Applauds Mexico Agreement to Meet 1944 Water Treaty Obligations for U.S. Farmers
Sunday, December 14, 2025, I applaud President Trump for putting American farmers first and holding Mexico’s feet to the fire to get this treaty honored. For years, producers in the Rio Grande Basin have been shorted the water they are legally owed, causing the loss of crops, jobs, industries, and livelihoods. Their willingness to come to the table speaks volumes about the improved relationship between Mexico and the United States, but sustained accountability will be necessary.  [More]

Commissioner Miller Condemns Barbaric Antisemitic Terrorist Attack in Australia
Sunday, December 14, 2025, "I share the horror and disgust at the barbaric antisemitic attack on a Hanukkah festival in Australia by radical Islamic terrorists. Suicidal empathy led the West to import the seeds of our own destruction. The killing will stop when we make it stop, when we realize that shared values and shared culture are our strength, not diversity, and certainly not tolerating imported barbarism. May God keep the victims and impose His justice on the perpetrators."  [More]
