OPEN FOR 2022 WILDFIRES

The STAR Fund (State of Texas Agriculture Relief Fund) was created by the Texas Department of Agriculture to provide relief for Texas farmers and ranchers in times of disaster using monetary donations from private individuals and organizations.

STAR Fund is a reimbursement program designed to assist farmers, ranchers and agribusiness owners in rebuilding fences, restoring operations and paying for other agricultural disaster relief.

If you’d like to help ag producers impacted by the recent 2022 wildfires or other disasters, consider making a donation to the STAR Fund.

COMMISSIONER MILLER ANNOUNCES TDA WILL RECEIVE 12.2 MILLION DOLLARS FROM USDA TO STRENGTHEN LOCAL FOOD SYSTEMS

Friday, August 25, 2023, AUSTIN- Today, Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller announced the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) awarded over $1.4 million in Specialty Crop Block Grant Program (SCBGP) funding to Texas. COMMISSIONER MILLER ASSISTS COUNTY IN FIGHT AGAINST BEETLE INFESTATION
Thursday, August 24, 2023, AUSTIN - Today, Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller announced the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) will implement an immediate strategy to assist the city of Levelland in an ongoing fight against a red flour beetle infestation.
