OPEN FOR 2024 WILDFIRE & SEVERE WEATHER RELIEF

The STAR Fund (State of Texas Agriculture Relief Fund) was created by the Texas Department of Agriculture to provide relief for Texas farmers and ranchers in times of disaster using monetary donations from private individuals and organizations.

STAR Fund is a reimbursement program designed to assist farmers, ranchers and agribusiness owners in rebuilding fences, restoring operations and paying for other agricultural disaster relief.

If you’d like to help ag producers impacted by the recent 2024 wildfires or other disasters, consider making a donation to the STAR Fund.

While I am grateful that  President Trump is safe and appears to have avoided serious injury, I am heartbroken over the tragic loss of an innocent bystander. COMMISSIONER MILLER URGES TEXANS TO PREPARE FOR POTENTIAL IMPACTS OF HURRICANE SEASON
Friday, July 5, 2024, Today, Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller and the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) urge all Texans to be proactive and prepare for the potential effects of hurricanes during what is expected to be a busy hurricane season. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) forecasts seventeen to twenty-five named storms in the Atlantic during hurricane season from June to November. Eight to thirteen could become hurricanes, with four to seven being major storms. Hurricanes have historically impacted Texas communities, infrastructure, and agriculture. This essential program provides financial support to help with clean-up and rebuilding efforts, offering crucial assistance to those on the front lines of these natural disasters.
